New Power Application: Document Management

Intrexx Xtreme Document Management is the first in a series of ready-to-use, web-based Power Applications to help companies implement new projects quickly and cost-effectively.

Large-scale document management systems (DMS) tend to be very expensive and have lengthy implementation times. Therefore, many companies have not been able to afford an investment in a large-scale DMS solution to date. United Planet provides a solution for these companies. The new web-based Document Management application offers a reasonably priced alternative for mid-sized companies that would like to take a more formal and fast approach to document management.

Intrexx Xtreme Document Management centralises storage and access for all documents via a single Enterprise Portal. The dedicated user management system enables the administrator to define exactly which employees can place documents on the portal, and sets clear rules for editing and rights for access throughout the company. Before any documents are released, they are run through a release process that has also been previously defined by the administrator.

Integrating document management into an Enterprise Portal will enable companies to improve a variety of business processes by incorporating documents into different workflows and applications used across the organisation.

Intrexx Live!: New Layouts and Applications

For companies that are keen to find a new ‘look and feel’ for their portal design, United Planet has introduced three new layouts that are now available on the community portal Intrexx Live!. Called ‘Blocky’, ‘SkylineCorp’ and ‘WeDo’, the layouts can be tailored to meet individual business and Corporate Identity (CI) requirements.

United Planet has also introduced a helpdesk solution where all requests for support can be centralised in the Intrexx Xtreme Support Centre and managed via email or telephone. Support calls can be requested online and prioritised with a ticketing system before they are distributed to the appropriate support team member/employee. Correspondence between the support team and the customer can be tracked with an administrative procedure that monitors the status of individual cases. An email configuration for a new question from support to a customer is already configured and can be easily activated. In addition, files and documents can be attached, both for the individual support cases and for correspondence.
