Axel Wessendorf - CEO
Axel Wessendorf founded United Planet GmbH in 1998. Since then, he has lead the business as its chief executive officer and is responsible for marketing as well as the strategic product development of the standard software Intrexx. Under his leadership, United Planet has developed into one of the leading providers of portal software, working for the favor of customers with such global players as IBM, Microsoft, and SAP.As founder of the enterprise, Axel Wessendorf is a recidivist: back in 1989, he launched the software company Lexware, which with over 1 million software licenses sold is counted among the most successful software enterprises in Europe. In addition to the bestseller "Taxman", he was responsible for the development of the commercial software suite making up "Lexware Financial Office", among others.
His experience in making complex subject areas simple with the help of a smart piece of enterprise software built the foundation for the success of United Planet. It is no accident that the constantly growing list of customers of United Planet now makes up many thousands of customers from every market sector.
Manfred Stetz - Director, Development & Support
Manfred Stetz, along with Axel Wessendorf, is the second founding member of United Planet. He is also General Manager of the enterprise and is responsible for the areas of development and support. Under his leadership, United Planet developed in 1999 the first standard software solution ever in the portal sector. A comparable product simply had never existed up to this time. With the successful product generations of Intrexx, he has been able to consequently expand the technological leadership in the area of portal software.Up to the founding of United Planet, Stetz, who possesses an advanced degree in computer science (FH-Diplom), worked in a leading position at Lexware, among others.
