The IBM Lotus Notes Business Adapter allows you to integrate data from IBM Lotus Notes databases in your web based Enterprise Portal easily. You can use that data in your Intrexx Professional applications.

The Business Adapter

  • Creates a new centralised point of access
  • Allows an easy and riskless integration in new or existing systems
  • Combines your IBM Lotus Notes data with your Portal data and applications (composite applications)
  • Allows usage of IBM Lotus Notes data for process management
  • Provides web services with IBM Lotus Notes data

Your benefits

  • You can create a smart web interface for all users in which you can handle IBM Lotus Notes data and applications easily. A IBM Lotus Notes client is no longer necessary.
  • The IBM Lotus Notes data is integrated in a Java based system. This means that knowledge about the IBM Lotus Notes scripting languages is no longer required.
  • With the help of the graphical editor in Intrexx you can create new applications quickly and easily. Even complex applications can be developed within a short time and without any programming skills.
  • Compared to other products on the market the Intrexx Professional license costs are inexpensive and the effort to maintain the Portal is less.

How does the Business Adapter work?

  1. Create a new server connection to the IBM Lotus Notes database in the Integration Centre. Therefore you can use the wizard.
  2. Create a new foreign data group in the Application Designer and develop your web application with IBM Lotus Notes data fields simply by drag and drop.

After these two initial steps possibilities are numerous: You can use the Process Manager to improve your applications and ease your workflows. You can provide web services containing the IBM Lotus Notes data using the simple drag and drop principle of Intrexx. Or you use that data in other applications within the Intrexx Portal (composite applications).

The connection (between Intrexx Professional and IBM Lotus Notes) is made by using the Java API of IBM Lotus Notes with the help of the DIIOP-Protocol (Domino Internet Inter-ORB Protocol).

Thereby you can define if the access to the IBM Lotus Notes data should be read and write or read-only. Data records can be read, inserted, changed and deleted.

Costs for the Business Adapter
